For the past two years, The Woodman has collected and recycled christmas trees around Ravenshead and surrounding villages. The christmas trees are made into garden chippings and donated to local allotments, homes and community projects.
This year the company has been contacted by a charity who provide holidays for terminally Ill children. Mark said: “They informed us of a child in the Mansfield area that they are currently raising funds for and all profits from the Christmas tree collection will be donated to them to help with the appeal.” A donation of at least £3 is requested.
The Woodman is a small, local business. As a HETAS engineer, they install wood-burning stoves and provide quality hardwood logs and winter fuel.
Trees will be collected by advance bookings only on the 3rd and 4th of January. The route passes through Ravenshead, Blidworth and Harlow Wood on Saturday 3rd before moving across Mansfield and surrounding areas. On Sunday 4th, Southwell and the surrounding villages will be covered.
You don’t have to be at home, you can leave your tree on your garden and arrange payment with The Woodman when you to book your collection.
