Sunday 8th June is Open Farm Sunday. Farmeco and the Ecocentre at Screveton, situated between Newark and Nottingham, is once again opening their gates to visitors for what promises to be both a fascinating and enjoyable day out for the whole family. Following the success of last year’s event, which proved extremely popular with over 500 members of the public visiting the farm, Farmeco is extending this year’s event over the whole weekend to provide a bigger and better experience for everybody – Open Farm Weekend.
Farmeco, is delighted to be joining hundreds of other farms across the country in hosting events to celebrate British farming and food. Open Farm Sunday is an annual nationwide event, organised by LEAF, it’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to visit a working farm and talk to the farmers responsible to discover at first-hand what it means to be a farmer and to truly get to know how their food is produced sustainably and how the countryside around them is cared for.
