Friendship, fun and companionship on Wednesdays 10.30am till 10.30pm at The Farnsfield Cricket Club, 48 Station Lane, Farnsfield, Newark NG22 8LA,
Informal groups and activities throughout the day include chair exercise, quizzes, ukulele, folk music and sing arounds, cards, and dominoes. Cost is £3.50 a session and tea and coffee is included. There are 3 main groups.
10.30am to 12.30pm morning group. This is a long established group of ladies who like to start their day with chair exercise followed by a cup of tea and a game of cards.
2.30pm to 5.30pm afternoon goup. A group of friends regularly come together at this session to play the ukulele. Spare ukuleles available. Newcomers always welcome. Games are also organised.
8pm to 10.30pm evening group. This is an informal music sing around session. Anything goes. All standards and abilitiies welcome.
There are also plans for a lunch club 12.30 till 2.30pm and a technology self-help group. Spare Android tablets available to borrow.
These friendship groups are run by Get 2 Gether 2, a not for profit community interest company serving the over 60s in Southwell and surrounding villages.
