The Minster School is proud to have a fantastic group of volunteers who manage our D of E Award for the students of the Minster School.
Last year we were in the top three for Awards started and completed in the County which is testament to the dedication and hard work of the Students and the Volunteers.
Most participants are aged 14 when they begin the Bronze Award and can proceed to the Silver and Gold levels if they have passed the previous level. The upper age limit for completing is 25. The Award is highly valued by employers and Universities.
Candidates are challenged to complete an exciting and varied programme of activities divided into four categories of volunteering, skill, physical and expedition.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference both in their lives and other people’s too. It is a chance to become fitter whilst having fun, a chance to make new friends and to try something new and to make memories that will last a lifetime.
We will be pleased to welcome any new volunteers who will be willing to train the candidates for the Expedition Section.
