A Year of Promise for City’s Youngest

Southwell City Under 7s football team will head into their New Years fixtures with the hope they can continue to shine in Nottingham’s Young Elizabethan League. The team, managed by Leon Jarvis, won many of their opening fixtures, and will go into the Spring season looking to fulfill the potential the young players have already begun to show.

As well as their footwork on the pitch, the team’s impressive appearance has been helped by a special sublimation printed kit, sponsored by Midlands-based marketing agency Three Thinking Co. and created by Southwell supplier Sportstar. Regular coaching and a dapper kit have both played their part in bringing the team together, as Leon confirms: “Last year was the first time the boys played together competitively, and they forged a good team spirit from the off. At the moment it’s all about having fun and learning the basics of the game as a group, and the boys have real pride in pulling on their shirts and working hard for each other on the pitch.”
