A Rolling Success at RODE Cycles

Since moving to his new premises on King Street in April, it has been non-stop for Andy from RODE Cycles. As a one-stop shop for all your cycling needs, customers have been busy seeking out new bikes and accessories as well as taking advantage of the repair service on offer.

Located opposite the Admiral Rodney, the store now houses a fantastic selection of products from some of the best known brands in cycling including Bottecchia, Cannondale, Forme, Cinelli and WeThePeople BMX.

“I’ve tried to stock a range of bikes to suit all ages and cycling abilities,” explained Andy. “Most of the products I have used personally over the years and am happy to advise on what would best suit your individual cycling requirements. The brands I choose to stock are not only due to their excellent quality, reliability and performance, but also for their fantastic after-sales care,”

“All bikes come with a 2 year warranty and during this period I will handle any issues for you, saving you the hassle of having to deal with with manufacturers directly.”

Bottecchia, although not the most well known brand in the UK, was established by the 1924 Tour de France, plus numerous Giro d’Italia, winner, Ottavio Bottecchia and to this day all Bottecchia road bikes, including carbon framed models, are made in Italy. Most recently you may be aware of the 2019 Giro d’Italia stage six victory of Fausto Masnada riding the Bottecchia EMME4 Superlight road bike.
There is also a range of e-bikes from Bottecchia, Cannondale and From to choose from.

Accessories in store include KASK – the Helmet choice of Team Ineos with a fantastic crash replacement guarantee, as well as LAKE cycling shoes, GIRO products and a great range of Chapeau clothing.
“If the item you are looking for is not in store, we can usually, outside of Covid-19 times, have it delivered within a 24-48 hour period for most brands. We can supply pretty much everything available from online stores, but with that added bonus of being local!”

Meanwhile the bike servicing and repair side of the business is very busy at the moment – please call to discuss your requirements or bring your bike to the store for Andy to look at.
