A New Beloved Life for the Old Barn on King Street

What do you do with a lifetime’s collection of beloved things when you are nearing the end of your life and you don’t want them to end up in a skip? In the case of one father, you encourage your daughter to follow her dream of opening an art gallery and add a retail element to sell those beloved items.

Tina Bettison, with the help of her mother, Christine, will open beloved@thebarn in the former Barn Gallery at 79 King Street in time for the Late Night Christmas Shopping evening on 30th November.

“Dad died in August aged 90 and it gave his last days some joy helping me plan what we’d do,” says Tina. “beloved@thebarn will exhibit and sell contemporary art and beloved home ware with a history. It will also become a creative space for workshops and events.”

Located in the King Street carpark opposite the Riverside Church. For more details visit www.belovedsouthwell.uk
