A CHEQUE for £100 was presented by the Club’s Chairman, Mrs Mary Hall to Mrs June Cotterill, joint secretary of the Southwell District of the Newsrk Branch of the NSPCC at the January meeting of Southwell Flower Club.
The donation was from the proceeds of the club’s Christmas show in early December. This was followed by a talk on roses, accompanied by slides by Mr T Wyke of the Nottingham City Parks Department.
Coffee and mince pies were served afterwards. Mrs Pat Organ gave the vote of thanks.
