The Bramley, a free community newspaper, first appeared in 1975 and has been published once a month for the past 33 years.With local news and reports from individuals, clubs and organisations including a What's on/Leisure page and comprehensive Services section, the newspaper is well read and enjoyed by many local residents.
It is a useful source of information on clubs, societies, organisations and businesses in the area.
Delivered free of charge to residents in Southwell and the 32 surrounding villages it reaches 10,800 homes and businesses. A further 200 copies are available from the Southwell Library, Post Office and Tourist Information Point.
Targeting this rural area, the Bramley offers comprehensive and unique coverage. Residents often keep the last copy to hand until the next issue is delivered, allowing a month's possible exposure to any one article or advertisement.
The Bramley also produces an annual Southwell Town Guide. Published in August each year, the magazine contains information on local services, schools and churches, contact details of clubs and organisations in the area, places to visit and a map of the town. Delivered free of charge to residents of Southwell there are additional copies available at the outlets mentioned above.
